Job Description
Jensen Building Ltd. is a well-established construction company looking for a skilled and dependable Carpentry Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee on-site operations, lead our talented carpentry team, and ensure that all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate, schedule, and oversee the daily activities of carpenters, apprentices, helpers, and general labourers.
• Plan and manage daily job-site operations to ensure work progresses efficiently, safely, and strictly according to project specifications and timelines.
• Inspect work in progress and completed tasks to guarantee full compliance with blueprints, local building codes, and safety regulations.
• Order construction materials, tools, and supplies, and coordinate their delivery and distribution to prevent any operational downtime.
• Resolve on-site issues as they arise, including scheduling conflicts, material shortages, or unexpected technical problems.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Experience: At least of 3 years of leadership experience in construction projects.
• Education: Secondary school is required any trades certification in trades is an asset.
• Language: Verbal English is required
• Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, excellent organizational skills, and effective problem-solving capabilities.
• Core Competencies: Strong hand-eye coordination, physical stamina (including bending, crouching, and kneeling), and a commitment to job-site safety.
Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $40.87 per hour.
